This topic is related to the classic quote,“Vanity, definitely my favorite sin”, which is immortalized by Al Pacino in the chiller movie“Devil's Advocate”. After seeing the movie, have you ever thought over this classic quote deeply?

Session 1:
1. Some people spend much money buying name brand products. Some people prefer counterfeits to non-famous brand products. Do you think expensive things can promote your status? Do you agree or disagree with this statement, “Money is the determining factor of one's status”?

2. Vanity is natural to human beings. There must be some praise which can move men's heart or women's heart. What kind of praise would you like to receive? Or have you ever told a lie out of vanity?

3. Recently, the local government of Taichung City held a joint examination to help identify the so-called "gifted" sixth-grade student. Probably, the parents require their child to participate in the examination just in order to gratify their vanity. By the way, have you ever asked someone to do anything to feed your vanity? Or have you ever done anything to meet someone's vanity? Please share your experience with us.

4. As the saying goes, “A contented mind is a perpetual feast.” Some people regard vanity as the root of all evils. Do you think people with immoderate vanity are really bad? Could we advance ourselves by the vanity of being appreciated?
